Nixon buttons at a flea market

I remember reading: The Crisis of the Self-Made Man. "Nixon Agonistes" by Garry Wills. I should have bought a couple of the buttons. I strolled through the Excelsior flea market and as usual, had to contain my impulse to buy oddities that end up in a drawer.

Lake Minnetonka restaurants downsizing portions & quality

This was another in a series of disappointments I have experienced at Lake area restaurants. Smaller portions, fewer flourishes, and a distinct drop in quality. I will not mention names. I am sure these are cost- containment efforts. Still, it makes one feel the dining experience is lessened. This rustic "flatbread with roasted peppers, caramelized onions and barbeques chicken" arrived bare, without the sauce. I added it for flavor. Such is life.

Oragne cat at Gray's Bay

I bought this little Cat-keyboard at Target. As I checked it out the young female clerk with fuscia and orange hair asked me who I was buying the gift for. I smiled and said "me". She said"sweet".

Saturday, Tour De Tonka and Minnetonka

I took this photo on one of the very first "Tours". I was warm and sunny. This was at at rest stop in Long Lake. I will not be riding this year. My legs are experiencing technical difficulties...but I will try to pick a spot and take photos of the event. Stay tuned.
