My Green Heron
I sat patiently and took photos of a battle in the pond. This guy ( I assume this Heron is a male) took over command of the coveted branch. Three Wood Ducks usually sit atop this branch, soon to leave for other lands.
The little rascal took off quickly, but I got off an action photo. His transformation is surprising.

Debbie Hart memorial repaired
The repair has been made, the Art lives on. An act of contrition has been said, and probably not by the sinner. So the memorial lives on, with a little scar of history and an act of contrition. Oh, I know it is not a very good analogy, but the Nuns told me that even after the penance has been made, the patchwork done, the wall is still never the same.
It has away struck me, even in this simple example, how hard it is to create...very hard, and how easy it is to destroy. Very easy.

Tour de Tonka in the bright light of late July
The web of trails and streets involved in the Tour De Tonka restricted traffic flow around the Lake Minnetonka area Saturday morning. But it is not for lack of warnings. Signs were posted along roadsides for weeks.
Thousands of riders shot out of the gate with great enthusiasm, the weather was sunny, warm, but not too hot. It was summer in Minnesota.
Along Minnetonka Blvd. I took photos at the start, the blaring morning sun was not as accomodating as one would think.
