I don't think I will buy any books anymore. I will just randomly select  books from the "LittleLibraries that have sprung up throughout the Twin Cities. I have leaned a lot from these books because they are not necessarily the books I would choose on y own. Instead I have picked up books on subject far and wide and family exotic.

 And of course I also have a stingy streak in me that is satisfied....




Metallurgy, the history of Steam Boats on the St. Croix,  murder mysteries, or immigration to the West from Communist regimes  are just a few of the subjects I have learned about.  Oh!, and contemporary tunnel building .... there is that too.

St. Alban's takes the 5th

I must apologize. I missed the 4th of July 5K yesterday. I went swimming. So no photos of the race here,  just a quiet morning photo of St. Alban's. If it is any consolation,  I was strafed intensely by starlings, which seems about par for the course for me.

- A note to those who read this: I will post photos from the  Excelsior Firecracker 4th Run. My plans to participate in it have been tabled due to an injury (I am on the mend). This is just part of the well over 60 runner's life.... I guess.
It, however, does give me the opportunity to take photos.
