Minnehaha Creek Watershed District

"High Water Update:

As expected, Wednesday’s rain boosted water levels on Minnehaha Creek and Lake Minnetonka, causing localized flooding in some places. On Monday, we lowered the discharge of water into the creek to make room for the rain and runoff. As the creek recedes, we have increased the dam discharge to continue drawing down the lake before winter. High creek flows are expected for the rest of the season."

Apple Days 5K 2016

After watching the start of the Apple Days 5k on Water Street, I proceeded to the finish line. It is located on the Lake Minnetonka trail- just short of Water street. The last 200 yards are clay trail enid on a paved surface.I did not catch the winning time. but it was a lone, unchallenged runner finishing around 16 minutes.
