Excelsior Memorial Day Parade 2017

The sun broke out shortly after the parade concluded. It was a brief parade, because parades are only a small part of Memorial Day.

Yes, leave it to me to choose the scrap ironworks and stone quarry for a backdrop for these photos on the trail. It is the end of the 13.1 mile race and a scrappy gray one it was.
The two leaders (male)  both were from the Minnepolis Mills Runners Club. Millers.
