Lake Minnetonka ice Out - Status April 4

Ice shards are pressed up against the shoreline.

Tuesday evening:
As I walked along Lakeview Ave., Cottagewood, I could see the vast grey-blue expanse of Lake Minnetonka was open water. A light snow began to fall. The wind was brisk and cool. I bent down with my reversable plastic bag to collect my canine artifacts. Yes...exactly
Above, a lone Piper Cub perused the Lake... surveying the scene for a potential declaration.

Wednesday morning 6am:
It is 17 degrees. The ground is covered lightly with snow. I am putting a flannel shirt on. For Minnetonkascenes the ice is not out.
